Dr. Will Anyu
Dr. Ndeh Will Anyu is a distinguished higher educational executive search leader specializing in transformational leadership placements at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs), Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), and other Minority-Serving Institutions (MSIs). As a Principal and Executive Search Consultant at TM² Executive Search—a specialized subsidiary of the Thurgood Marshall College Fund—he leads complex, high-stakes searches for presidents, provosts, and senior executives while serving as a trusted advisor to boards and institutional leaders on talent strategy.
Throughout his tenure at TM², Dr. Anyu has successfully placed presidents, provosts, deans, chief financial officers, and other cabinet-level executives at prominent institutions, including North Carolina Central University, Fort Valley State University, Harris-Stowe State University, Benedict College, and American Baptist College. His comprehensive approach encompasses the full search lifecycle—from candidate sourcing and assessment through final placement and onboarding—ensuring seamless transitions for both institutions and leaders.
Dr. Anyu’s executive search expertise was honed through progressive roles at leading firms, including Storbeck Search and True Search, where he led dozens of executive-level searches and co-created firm-wide performance initiatives. Beyond direct search work, he is driving business development to expand TM²’s reach across higher education and contributing thought leadership through articles, podcasts, and executive panels while building strategic partnerships and hosting leadership convenings that connect institutional leaders, emerging talent, and sector stakeholders.
Beyond his work, Dr. Anyu maintains a strong commitment to family and educational endeavors. He resides with his wife, Ashley and their two sons, Ashton and Axel, and serves as an adjunct professor at
North Carolina Central University and a national speaker on topics ranging from educational development and leadership to climbing the educational leadership ladder.
