Fort Valley State University (FVSU), a top-ranked Historically Black University located in central Georgia, is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as its next Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs. As the chief academic officer of the University, the Provost will play a pivotal role in driving FVSU’s academic mission and will directly influence the University’s strategic plan.

The Provost will work in close collaboration with the University President and the senior leadership team, guiding academic vision and strategy. The role oversees academic programs, ensures high standards of teaching, research, and service, and manages key units such as the University’s colleges, retention services, and academic outreach programs. The Provost will be instrumental in fostering student success, increasing FVSU's visibility and enrollment, promoting innovative teaching methods, and ensuring fiscal responsibility within the academic programs.
